In the quiet period between Christmas 2003 and New Year's, Rod Nelson and I took a day to record some music together. One of the
songs we did was this blues that Rod had lying around, waiting for some live
drums. Of the handful of common blues themes, this one was first done by
Bo Diddley. In the version here, Rod adds his own twist to the theme.
Enjoy!

Come on back now, baby,
you've been gone so long
Come on back now, baby,
you've been gone so long
You've been gone so long,
baby, I'm 'bout to lose my mind
I called your Momma
a coupla nights ago
I called your Momma
a coupla nights ago
Yo Momma said,
son, don't call my daughter no more
Well, before you accuse me,
take a look at yourself
Before you accuse me,
take a look at yourself,
You've been buying those women's clothes
Been taking money from someone else |
